CONNER CEMETERY - BIRCHWOOD, TENNESSEE

Conner is a very historic cemetery as it contains two Revolutionary War veterans. Maintained by the Conner Cemetery Association, there have been placed 141 numbered markers to notate unmarked graves. The cemetery is located on the private-property farm of Ronald Johnson, 13825 Birchwood Pike near Birchwood, Tn. To locate the cemetery, from the intersection of Birchwood Pike and Hwy 58, travel Birchwood Pike 12.2 miles NW toward Birchwood. 2/10 mile past New Liberty Baptist Church, the farm and a roadside historic marker are on the left. The farm is quite large and the cemetery would be difficult to locate without Mr. Johnson's guidance. Also, located on the same farm and nearby is Cookston Cemetery. Survey performed in 2003 by Jim Holcomb (JHOLC19593@aol.com).
